September 27 – Scheduled Contribution to the UIA 24th World Congress of Architecture

The UIA International Work Program ARES – “Architecture & Renewable Energy Sources”, reaches the critical 24th UIA World Congress of Architecture in Tokyo next September, having integrated the results, conclusions and scientific goals of its major events during the triennial 2008-2011.

 

After having organized, co-organized and participated in several international conferences, scientific forums and meetings, among them the major events MEDIBAT on Green Building – 2009, Sfax, Tunisia, “The Cities beyond Olympics” – 2009 Beijing, China, Renewable Energy Sources – An architectural DESIGN-LAB for the Climate Change – 2010, Athens, Greece and EUROSOLAR The Architecture of Well-tempered Environment-An Orchestra of Integrated Instruments – 2011 Rome, Italy, the ARES WP organizes the relevant session in the upcoming Tokyo Congress, under the developing globally theme “Moody’s, Fitch, S&P and Nuclears, the Victims of Renewable Energy Sources in Architecture– Bioclimatic Architecture, the answer to nuclear and financial crises”, which will take place in Tokyo International Forum/Hall D7, on the 27th of September from 11.00 to 13.30.

During the session which will be set as an extended round table, several counties and member sections will participate in order to achieve a high level of presentation, discussion and validation of all results, conclusions and scientific goals of the WP triennial action. Nikos Fintikakis, Director of UIA WP ARES will coordinate the round table, where the following colleagues under alphabetical order will participate:, M. Barmaki (Lebanon), A. Dubler (France), M.T. The UIA WP ARES was awakened during the past 10 years, researching the vital field of sheltering the victims of natural disasters in a bioclimatic manner. Shortly after the major natural disaster which struck Japan, coincidently the very same hosting country of the 24th UIA World Congress, the ARES session will be a primary hub of exchanging views and aspects, which may cure, in the future, people affected by natural disasters through the use of renewable energy sources.
