The conference – sponsored by the EDUCATE Action, a European Partnership for Research, and organized in collaboration with the Department DATA of “La Sapienza” Faculty of Architecture and the Chamber of Architects, Heritage Conservators, Landscape Architects and Planners of Rome and its Province – aims to outline the State of the Art of Environmental Design education and professional practice by presenting innovative pedagogical experiences and investigating the potential of elearning in the teaching and learning of sustainable environmental design . Moreover, the conference aims to celebrate outstanding student work that creatively investigates and reflects on the various dimensions of sustainability in architecture and urban design and to reward original and innovative ideas and pedagogical methods promoting sustainable principles and practices incurricula of higher education. EDUCATE is an Action funded by the European Commission under the “Intelligent Energy Europe” 2008 Programme.
